Prime Minister of Malaysia visited the largest PV-Diesel Generator Hybrid Power System in Malaysia that was designed and installed by Leonics

The Prime Minister of Malaysia, Datos Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi, visited the 200 kWp PV-Diesel Generator Hybrid Minigrid System Installation Project for 7 remote area villages in Banggi Island, Kudat, Sabah, Malaysia. This project, the largest hybrid power system in Malaysia, was designed and installed by Leonics, Thai-owned company approved in ASEAN renewable energy products and systems.

The project, under Malaysias government control and support, was initiated in 2007. With its performance, Malaysias government assures that the hybrid power system for remote area villages is the most appropriate alternative energy source as the generated power is sufficient and suitable for the large rural communities in Malaysia. The significances of this project are to create job opportunities and develop quality of living.
