Leonics has designed,
installed and set up the
solar assisted air conditioning system to take advantage from
solar energy. Leonics Sun Cool
- Solar Assisted Air Conditioning System uses heat from solar
radiation, the evaporated heat pipe tube (EHPT) collectors are included to absorb
heat from solar radiation and transfer heat to water flowing through the evaporated heat pipe tube collectors until approaching the appropriate temperature. Then
heated water is delivered to store in insulated storage tank to retain
the temperature. Hot water is pumped to absorption chiller for cooling water. At fan coil unit, cool water is
delivered to exchange heat to reduce temperature. While the absorber exothermic reaction
is occurred so the cooling tower is needed to ventilate high temperature
to outside.
Moreover, hot water heater is used to supply backup heat for solar assisted air conditioning system when sunlight is not visible. The appropriate water for water ventilated air conditioning system is water softener, it can treat water by reducing some mineral content in water that causes calces.
Leonics Sun Cool - Solar Assisted Air Conditioning
System has been installed and applied at Solar Assisted Air
Conditioning System Demonstration Project for the testing
building in Energy Park, School of Renewable Energy Technology (SERT),
Naresuan University, Phitsanulok. Furthermore, Leonics has been entrusted by SERT to design and install the Solar Assisted Air Conditioning System Prototype in order to apply to a 10 RT air conditioning system at Energy Development and Dissemination Centre, Department of Alternative Energy Development and Efficiency (DEDE), Ministry of Energy, Pathumthani.
