Types of Energy Efficient Light

Fluorescent lamp produces light by discharging an electrical current inside inert gas and mercury vapor which becomes excited and starts emitting photon particles of lights. Compact fluorescent lamp is a type of fluorescent lamp that uses less power and has a longer rated life than an incandescent lamp. It is used as an energy saving alternative to incandescent lamp in homes.

LED lamps use light-emitting diodes to be lighting source. LED lamp is a small area light source which is extremely energy efficient, high durability and last very long time. LED lights tend to be directional that can be an advantage for traffic lights, display lighting, flashlights and obstruction lights.
